JOURNAL ENTRY DAY 1: JUNE 16, 2007

As we started into another 21-Day Stand I felt the intensity and the excitement for what the Lord would do again through humble obedience. To some, standing blindfolded on a street corner praying makes absolutely no sense, but to us we realize what we are standing for. We understand that God uses the foolish things to confound the wise. Number 16:48 says “And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped.” We believe God can shake the pornographic plague of our nation and send “the Greatest Awakening”.

During our Stand on Church Street last year, the Lord quickened me regarding the release of the Sons of Thunder. As I pondered the vision I remember taking my place on the Street. That day two homeless guys came up to me – one named James, the other John. Both of them spoke encouragements. It was as if the Lord was saying the time has come. The sound is to be released.

Arriving in front of Hustler Hollywood today, the first person I saw was the homeless guy James. God was speaking to me regarding the seriousness of His voice and His words. Again, James spoke encouragement. This time he said; “the courts are taking notice of ya’ll. You never heard about these types of places (sexually oriented businesses) shutting down until ya’ll started standing out here, and now three or four of them right here are closed. Keep it up.”

God is amazing, and the people he uses sometimes are the most unlikely. Just day 1 and already, so much has happened. What will the Lord do next?
