ONE LIFE CHANGED AT A TIME

I work for a freight company driving a truck in the Nashville area. I drive a different truck almost every night. Normally I have several to choose from, but one evening there was only one truck available. I got in and began my regular routine. I looked in one of the overhead compartments for an inspection book, but instead found a pornographic magazine. Immediately the Holy Spirit began to quicken my spirit to get out of the truck and pray about this situation. As it turned out I couldn’t take this truck anyway because of a computer problem. Fortunately, another truck came in that I was able to take. 

I went out to do my first run wondering and praying, “What could I have done about that?” I first thought, “Should I get it and throw it away? No, then the other driver might just think his magazine was stolen.” At that time I didn’t think through all the scenarios, but that’s what is so awesome about our God. He is so faithful when we are obedient to his will, he’ll always come though.

The Holy Spirit gave me a plan. I was wearing my Pure Life bracelet so I took it off and turned it inside out where the website is stamped in white. I used a red marker I had and highlighted the website. When I returned to the dock I took the bracelet and placed it inside the overhead storage compartment on top of everything inside.

 As I went about my evening the enemy was trying to speak lies to instill doubt and discouragement in me. He told me that it was a lame idea that I came up with on my own. The Holy Sprit reminded me this battlefield is not a joke. This is why the Pure Life Revolution is current to establish purity of the church first. So that the church can be more effective in a time where pornography is running rampant in our society.  I told Satan where he was not welcome and the authority I have over him though Christ Jesus. I continued to pray for this man as I went about my work.

A few days went by and I walked up to that same truck. When I opened the storage compartment I didn’t find the pornography, but instead pictures of this man’s family. He has now added to those pictures with those of a newborn of whom he is obviously very proud. I don’t even know this man and our paths have yet to cross, but I know the Lord is at work in his life. God knew exactly which truck I was supposed to take that evening.
